THE BIGGEST EVENT OF OUR BICENTENNIAL YEAR
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR HOMECOMING WEEKEND - 2006
– GET YOUR BREAKFAST & PICNIC RESERVATIONS IN ASAP!!HOMECOMING – LABOR DAY WEEKEND 2006
Saturday – September 2 & Sunday - September 3
Throughout this Bicentennial year everyone has been invited to most of the events –In distinction, all the events of the Labor Day Weekend (with the exception of the fireworks display) are intended for only those who have roots in Our Community (Lilly Borough & Washington Township). Those invited include any current or former residents of Our Community and their guests. The events on Saturday, September 2, 2006, and the Sunday evening Birthday/Raffle/Fireworks Bash at the Memorial Field are intended for family fun, with lots of special activities for the kids.
The Homecoming Picnic – Sunday afternoon, September 3 - is planned for Adults –
(18 years of age and older) Although a special salute is planned for those who attended any of the Lilly Schools, and particularly all those who graduated from Lilly High School; we extend a special invitation to all those with Community Roots who graduated from Bishop Carroll and Penn Cambria High Schools.
IMPORTANT: We will be using a number of venues for the various activities of the Labor Day Weekend. When we list a church, a church hall, or a church pavilion as a location – there are no religious overtones to the choice of such site. We have chosen that site because it is the best local site for that activity - a site that will insure the greatest enjoyment of the activity by the greatest number of people.
We certainly intend to provide enjoyable entertainment, interesting programs, engaging activities, and great food – but the main hope for the weekend is to provide forums for good fellowship and opportunities to renew old friendships and develop new ones.
Our biggest concern for the success of the weekend is that we will be adequately prepared for the number of people that will be attending. WE NEED YOUR HELP. PLEASE COMPLETE THE ENCLOSED FORMS & RETURN THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
If you are not planning to attend the events of the Labor Day weekend – please tell us – it will be of great help with our count.

L-WHS HISTORY BOOK ORDER FORM Page 4
Update on status of History Book – 15% of the Book is 100% complete - 65% of the Book is 90% complete - the other 20% is from 40% to 80% complete – it will be complete during this Bicentennial Year of 2006. We have been able to make each of the events held this year a success – that took a lot of time and a lot of work from a lot of people. Sorry – but there are only so many hours in a day. But now back to work of the History Book with intentions to have it published as soon as possible in 2006. We want The History Book to be the best we can produce, and if it takes more time, we would rather have it better than sooner. We appreciate your patience.
As a reward for your patience, we plan to give you at least 200 more pages in the History Book than the 250 pages originally promised, and for the same $32 price.
