CHAMPIONS
The Lilly Raiders grade school football team has taken the Championship in their league for the 2009 season by defeating Glendale in a playoff game at the Lilly Field on Saturday, October 31st.
It was a hard fought game between the two teams who both entered the game with undefeated season records. Lilly won 20-12 on a rain swept field. There was a nice turnout despite the rain and the sidelines looked like a gypsy village with the tents.
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations are in order for the perfect season attained by the Penn Cambria Junior High Team as they defeated Johnstown 45-0 this past week.
