December 31, 2009

Today is not only the last day of 2009 it is also the last day of the first decade of the 21st century. Yes, time does fly.

Christmas was enjoyable. With it falling on a Friday it really made for a nice, leisurely holiday weekend end for many people. I had many enjoyable moments with my children and grandchildren several days in a row. I noticed Duane and Diane Misiura at the Christmas Eve Mass with their two grandchildren that were just born this year. As new grandparents I bet they had a great Christmas too.

On December 23rd, Eileen, Pat. Monica and I were all visiting Mom at Rebecca Manor at the same time. Monica suggested singing a Christmas Carol for Mom. We first sang Silent Night and Mother joined in so we did several more carols and she sang along with each of them. This was a very Happy few minutes for all of us, as we all knew Mom loved to sing and cherished her years in the choir at Saint Brigid’s and Our Lady of the Alleghenies.

BIRTHDAYS

Ringing out the old year by celebrating their birthday’s today, December 31st are Brian Behe, William McCarty, Lindsey Phillips, Agnes Phillips, Louise Tranquillo and my son in law Don Nadolsky of Cresson.

On New Years Day Fred Kuntz and Elizabeth Budzina celebrate their birthdays as will Carol Bucynski, John Kodosky, Anita Connor, Michael Miklinski and Ron Muldoon on the 2nd. Then on January 3rd my grandchildren Derek and Laura Reed celebrate their third birthday. On the 4th Mary Kukla and Sara Jane Latoche celebrate as will Mario Crocetti, Brett Dively and Gloria McGarry on the 5th and Patricia Miorelli on the 6th. Happy Birthday to All.

Paterick, John Pawlek, may be Pawluk and Joseph Phillips. Thanks to Frank Giblock I was able to get information last week on Andy and Andrew Miller from Andrews’s daughter in Enola.
