Anyone wanting a 2009 Historical Society Calendar or a 2009 Community Christmas bulb can pick them up at Galls Insurance. Bulbs are also available at the Borough Building.
The snow over the past weekend got me more into the Christmas Spirit. My son Steve put up the trees in the house adding to the season. I notice more and more nice Christmas lighting displays about town and am very happy to see a manger in the center of town in front of the bank.

CHOIR PRACTICE.
Tonight at 7 PM there will be choir practice for Christmas at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Church. New members are more than welcome. I intend to go as I have only missed a few Christmas eves singing since 1967. I still like the old traditional carols best.
SYMPATHY
Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Leo McCabe Jr. who died last week. Rusty was a 1965 graduate of Lilly/Washington High School.
VETERANS INFORMATION
The veterans of World War Two that I am trying to find information on this week are: Joseph Krous, Joseph Kukla, George Kukla, John Lassack, George Lazor, Paul Lee, Andrew Lego, Michael Lingafelt, Samuel Marrone, Angelo M. Martin, Peter Martin and Stephen A. Marton.
I have received several veteran information forms by mail and delivered in person this past week. Also Patti Millich has helped as usual. She is doing a great job in helping track veterans. I have about 350 pages typed in so far that includes about 1750 veterans stories, some long, others just one liners. January and February will be phone time, so if my name shows up on your caller ID you can figure I am looking for veteran information. I have over 500 veterans to track down yet.
